UpSkill Universe collaborated with Expedia's L&D Advisory Council to enhance their Inclusion and Diversity strategy, focusing on systemic issues and recruitment processes.
Challenge
Expedia recognised that their L&D Advisory Council needed development to understand systemic issues throughout the company’s processes, particularly in recruitment. They needed to identify points where systemic oppression and barriers to access affected minority groups and candidates.
Solution
UpSkill Universe created two bespoke workshops for Expedia’s Advisory Council: ‘Establish Effective I&D Goals’ and ‘Overcoming Barriers to Inclusion’. The 4-hour working sessions, delivered via Zoom, used a Virtual Instructor-Led approach with story-led training and case studies to explore and address inclusion challenges.
