Career Amplification for Ethnic Minority Colleagues

UpSkill Universe designed and launched a Career Amplification programme for HSBC's Digital Business Services, aimed at driving equity and supporting career progression for ethnic minority colleagues.

Challenge

HSBC needed to drive equitability through the organisation by supporting the career aspirations of ethnic minority colleagues and developing a pipeline of future diverse leaders within their Digital Business Services division.

Solution

UpSkill Universe created a 4-month programme consisting of weekly 2-hour sessions, tailored to themes identified in a recent needs analysis. The programme covered areas such as Authenticity in the Workplace, Career Planning, Influencing Networks, Career Resilience, Strengths-Based Progression, and Personal Branding. It was designed to align with reciprocal mentoring programmes and targeted employees at GCB levels 5-6.
