Robert is a Polish investigative journalist, media strategist, and consultant. Expert on mis/disinformation, verification, fact-checking & OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) tools. He spent two decades in journalism. Currently runs his own media consultancy crafting media strategies and delivering workshops for business clients and newsrooms. Previously he worked as Google News Lab’s Teaching Fellow in CEE being the main training person for the media in the region (2021-2023). He delivered workshops on mis- and disinformation, verification & fact-checking. Prior to joining Google he spent years at TVN Poland where he produced dozens of investigative documentaries with significant news impact on topics ranging from judicial corruption and pharmaceutical lobbying to a bribery scandal involving an official who awarded sensitive government IT contracts worth millions of dollars to three U.S. tech companies. The 2016/2017 academic year Robert spent at Harvard University as a Nieman Fellow researching the intersection of media, law and technology, attending classes at Harvard Business School, Harvard Kennedy School of Government and MIT Media Lab. Educated as a lawyer, trained prosecutor (passed a bar exam for prosecutors in Poland). Graduated from the Leadership Academy for Poland program (2021). He has authored two books.
